Meón Agrolife

Cantaloupe

This melon is round in appearance, with a light green striated tone. It is generally a piece that is consumed raw and fresh, with a predominant demand in the summer months.

It is a fruit rich in vitamin A and B vitamins. Due to the cellulose it contains, it must be taken into account that it is a food with laxative effects. Melons have a high water content, making them ideal for refreshing and hydrating. Melons are grown in open fields, benefiting from sunlight and soil that is conducive to production, and even more so if you take care of them and treat them with respect, as we do at Agrolife Galsen.

When storing, store in a refrigerated place and maintain adequate humidity. Melon is sensitive to heat and can ripen quickly at room temperature.

Melons belong to the cucurbitaceae family, like cucumber and pumpkin, hence their juicy texture and refreshing taste. There are many different varieties of melon, with great differences between them in size, colour, texture and taste, as some are sweeter than others.
