The cold damages the fruit, changing its characteristic texture and flavour. In case you do not consume the whole piece, cover it with cling film and avoid placing it in a humid place. Do not leave the papaya exposed to the sun for long periods of time, as it affects its maturation, accelerating the process.

They need at least 6 hours of light a day to grow in beneficial conditions. In this case it is also important to take into account the distance at which the seed is planted, as they need enough space to stretch their branches, although the fruit itself is born attached to the trunk of the tree.

It is an exotic and juicy fruit, originating from Central America, however, it is now cultivated all over the world. There are different sizes of papaya, with the smallest ones being the best on the market, and although the orange papaya is the most common, there are other varieties in yellow and reddish tones. In ancient times, it was used to soften meats and as an ingredient in many antacid products.
