Cucumber

It belongs to the same family as pumpkin and watermelon. The cucumbers we grow at Agrolife Galsen are an absolute guarantee of taste.

They are fresh and water-rich. The skin is dark green and rough. The texture of the flesh is crunchy and the skin is edible, although some people prefer to peel it. The inside contains seeds, but they are edible. Its flavour is mild and slightly sweet in some cases.

Due to its high water content, it provides a moderate amount of dietary fibre. The presence of these contributes to a healthy digestion.

It is a vegetable that can be enjoyed in salads, sandwiches and even drinks. It has been cultivated for over 3,000 years in parts of India and has since become a staple food in many cultures.

It is very beneficial if eaten with the skin on, previously washed, as it contains a good amount of nutrients and fibre.

If you rub a slice of cucumber on stainless steel surfaces, it helps to remove unpleasant odours such as garlic or fish.
